He has been a member of the GAWA Council since 1998 and served as the Conference Convenor for seven years, Vice President and President. In 2013 he was the AGTA Biennial Conference convenor. Darryl has been actively involved in curriculum, professional learning, exam and textbook development in Western Australia. He has a passion for travel and water based recreation. Prior to his retirement in early 2016 Grant was a Senior Lecturer and Director of Teacher Education in the University's School of Education. Grant was closely involved in the development of the Australian Curriculum: Geography.

Secretary Susan Caldis Susan Caldis is currently employed in the Initial Teacher Education program at Macquarie University as unit convenor for the HSIE Education and Geography Methodology courses. She is also teaching Geography content at the Australian Catholic University. GAWA President Anna Griffin Anna Griffin is currently Head of Department of HASS at Swan Valley Anglican Community School in Perth. She is a teacher of senior Geography and Economics teacher. GTANSW President Lorraine Chaffer has been a GTA NSW councillor since 2006, Geography Bulletin editor and is the current President.
